About Scott Sallinger
Scott Sallinger showed his passion for design early in life.
His fascination with Legos was the first indicator of his future career. At age 20 Scott began learning the fundamentals
of design by remodeling homes in the Los Angeles area. Several years later, he attended the Art Center in Pasadena and
started his first company, Sunny Boy Designs.
Leading Sunny Boy Designs, Scott focused on hand crafting his furniture designs for private clients and continued his
remodeling business which now specializes in Historical Homes.
As his reputation for architectural woodworking grew, his custom furniture and cabinet business also grew, leading to
the opening of his first store.
The Sunny Boy Designs Store showcased his growing portfolio of over 250 custom designs, which now includes corner storage
solutions. His mixed media pieces gained popularity creating the opportunity to show his support for the arts.
As the founder of the still highly popular Plaza Art Walks, held in Monrovia California, Scott helped to promote art
awareness in the community, especially contemporary design.
In 2005 Scott moved his business to San Francisco for its richer array of Historical Home remodeling projects. During
this time Scott finalized the product development of the Cornerture® Modular Corner Storage System as well as other corner designs.
This last year his Cornerture® Bed was licensed to a national furniture manufacturer and will be available in retail
furniture stores in 2010.
Presently, Scott continues to design and build Custom Cabinetry, Custom Furniture and Custom Corner Pieces as well as
Remodel Homes in San Francisco and the Bay Area.
